Our Programs Sturgeon Adult Learning supports the Sturgeon region residents in their goals to become successful, lifelong learners. We provide programs that serve families and individuals in meeting their learning needs. Family Literacy Programs: We offer programs that serve families including the Parent Connection, Parent Child Mother Goose and Books Alive programs. Language Programs We offer programs to serve individual foundational learning needs, including English and French Language Learning. We provide English Language Learning workshops for individuals wishing to improve their English. We have extra practice for English learners at our weekly Conversation Practice program. We partner with the Francophone Association Centralta Region in Legal, to provide French Language Learning classes twice a year. Computer Programs We offer programs to serve those who have Basic Computer skills and want help with technology including phones & tablets. We work with the Morinville Community Library to offer computer classes for adults to learn basic computer skills We teach ‘How to use your iPad’ classes anywhere in the Sturgeon region. Numeracy Programs Community Kitchens provides an opportunity for learners to learn and practice using important numeracy skills while preparing meals for their families. Volunteer Tutor of Adult Learners ProgramWe can match individuals with one on one volunteer tutors to assist with improving reading, writing, mathematical or computer skills. Most of our programs are offered FREE of charge and we can provide subsidy for registrations for those learners who cannot access programs due to income.
